WOW What a ride
I just got thru putting nin My DP TUNER, All I can say is WOW and oh $*&#. What an amazing truck it is Now. Beats the crap out of My old Hypertech. I can't play to much because the big brown truck has not showed up with My gauges yet. I could not wait any longer I had to put it in.

You can go to there web sites and the prices are on there. It depends on how many tunes You want. I bought Mine from a fellow brother on here. You will love it, I do. It beats hypertech all to pieces.

You can put up to 16 tunes on a chip. I have 7 on mine. DP is a sponser here on fte, You can click on there logo and go to there site. Jodie and Diana are real good with there tunes and fast service as well.

Alright look. Will guys STOP POSTING ABOUT HOW AWESOME DP TUNES ARE!! It's killing me to be over in Iraq, unable to order mine and install it. The jealousy is unbearable. Enjoy it though!

The different tunes offered are tweaks to the improved programming to handle specific situations. Basically, all of them add power. Some are tweaked more for economical cruising down the freeway, some are adjusted for towing loads to keep exhaust gas temps down or to change shift strategies of the transmission. Some are all go for racing or needing to pass someone really quick on the freeway.
There's also stuff for convenience. DP has a drive thru tune which will make the motor quite so you can order a burger. You can get a high idle tune to aid in warm up, a no start setting so no one hot wires the truck, etc. DP-Tuner.com has a list of the different things they offer.

Your 6.9 was all or mostly mechanically operated. You psd is mostly computer controlled. A ton of things within this programing can be changed by installing a 'chip' in the computer. On this chip is 1 or more different programs, referred to as tunes. There's quite a few companies that do this but there are a few favorites on this forum, one of them dp tuner. It will change everything about your truck from transmission strategies to engine power.
