I love this site and thanks for all the input on my previous post.
I have a 96 PSD, 4 door dually, auto with 14,000 on a rebuild all stock except for a 3" down pipe an no muffler. What can be done to get more power and not spend a forturne.
any good custom chip for your truck, gearhead, php,dp tuner, tony wildman, beans, BTS are all awesome tunes. and not off the shelf chip like superchip or diablo. youve pretty much got exhaust covered, 3'' straight sounds cool but 4" is a whole new beast. look up 6637 intake, its an open element air filter, easy and cheap, can be had under 70$ installed.
doing guages are a must if you add fuel and like to have fun, EGT's can get away from you fast.
All these guys are correct, let the truck breath, 6637 air intake as well as exhaust which you have already done. Then very important, before you start modding, Get some gauges on there to keep an eye on things. Then you can do a custom tuned chip from any of the places Steve listed. After that, you will drive it for a while and be happy, but them PMS (Powerstroke Modification Syndrome) will take over leaving your wallet thin and your truck AWESOME!
