Getting older won't change that.

I prefer the young and single which typically means more disposable income.

When we decided to sell the boat and get a camper I was totally cool with a 28-31' ultra light, thinkin maybe a down sixe in truck someday....Well the wife had other plans, she picked the biggest 1 on the lot. 36.5' 13k 5er, but happy wife happy life right?

Anyway go big ort go home, and yeah Ger its all about the image LOL

I would need a dually though or convert mine for stability. Which I am actually kicking around anyway.

I should have a dually for my trailer, but I only haul it 120 miles to the campsite in the spring, it sits there, and comes home in the fall. When the wife and I retire we're going to get a toy hauler and a 6 wheeled vehicle, if not the same vehicle, just with 6 tires. I swear I'm keeping my 2000 forever, no matter what it costs.

i still really wanted to buy a 7.3, not really sure why, but they were just way to much money. its not uncommon for people trying to get 20k for rusty trucks with 200k+ miles here

the worst thing about 7.3s is how loud they are, my friend has a 99 F350 regular cab with 4" mbrp with muffler, and you still have to raise your voice pretty high to talk in the cab. amazing how quiet 6.0s are. all you hear in my truck is turbo whistle

Before I purchased my 06 (which was traded) I test drove an 04 reg cab 6.0. That thing rattled my brain. It was an XL truck so maybe it was worse than a plush Lariat or King Ranch. I also rode in a 7.3 and it was quite loud. Loudest ever was a buddies 02 Cummins....dear god.

My V10 is so quiet, until pulling a trailer up a very steep hill at 4k+ rpms.....

My truck is so quiet at times i forget its a diesel. Perhaps that will change when i get some times that arent loud, but right now its barely louder than my 5.4 was

then again, the exhaust exits like 25 feet behind me..

same thing with my uncles 2004 F550 reg cab 6.0, dump body. stock exhaust, its very quiet on the highway. but the tires are ridiculously loud on that too

Huh, that truck must have had no sound deadening material. It was like large bolts in a coffee can....
