Exclamation 92 bronco shifting problem

hey me again but i was wondering when my bronco has warmed up a bit (not overheating) and it shifts it acts like it is in neutral. it doesn't always happen it will mostly happen around 45 mph. it kinda feels like it takes a while to shift it is an auto 351w its not a huge problem to me but i don't know what it is doing to the truck itself it may happen for a maximum of 2 seconds and it may continue for 3 more times right after another but shorter so any information on that would be very appreciated
thanks,
murph

Could be a number of issues. I hate guessing. I know I say this all the time, but run a KOEO test and see if there are any stored codes that relate to the VSS or the transmission. If not, you may be guessing anyway. Either way, a check of the fluid and filter wouldn't hurt nor would replacing both. At that speed, unless you are really on it, you should be getting to the 3-4 shift point... drive-to-overdrive. Is this shift lag accompanied by a flashing light on the end of the shift lever?
