98 Explorer Radio problem
The oem radio in my explorer is working, but most of the buttons, screen, and volume **** aren't working. The rear seat radio controls are working though. Is this a radio problem, or a loose wire?

I seem to recall hearing that at least the display quitting is a pretty common issue on those decks. I think it's a solder joint issue. It wouldn't surprise me if that's the issue with the other portions of the radio that don't work as well. You might be able to find a local radio repair shop that can fix this or if you know someone who works at a company that makes electronic items, they may have a technician that would be willing to inspect and repair for a small fee or case of beer....
