Preparing 600 Holley single line
Go to the wrecking yard and find an unmolested QuadraJet from a 70-71 Chev pickup 350, have it rebuilt by someone that knows what they're doing with them, and bolt it on with an adaptor. A lot of guys go with the part store rebuilds, but I've had trouble with them in the past. You can also get Edelbrock QJets from Summit.
The Q-Jet is the next best thing to EFI (real fuel injection, not the holley projection) for the trail. And they also work great for the high speed stuff like sand and mud. If I didn't have fuel injection on mine, I'd have a QuadraJet.
