I would guess bad cap or overfill as mentioned. You could add in a coolent recovery tank, fill the radiator all the way up and add a little in the recovery tank. Overflow goes in the tank, then is pulled back in as it cools down. Keeps air out of the system .
thanks Jim Collins i went o reilleys yesterday and got a Murray 16 psi cap and it is working great.
.................................................. .................................................. ........ I don't know how much psi the radiator will handle, but you want to remember you have a heater core under pressure too, so don't overdo it with the psi. I found that out a few years ago with a new radiator and a old heater core. I put a cap on that had more psi than what was recomended for the vehical . You can guess what happend, blew the heater core and hot water in the floor all at once, not fun.
hey jim im dumbfounded with this one. but i bought 35/15.50/15 swampers for my 1979 f150 will they fit on a regular batman rim or eagle alloy bullet hole rim? or will they rub the coils ?
