04-05 PCM

Does anyone know if the PCM on the 04-05 is interchangable. Heard there were less issues on the 05 modles, and wanted to start there rather than replacing the intake on my 04 to see if I get any power gain. guess I should elaberate 04 F150 4x4 Lariat major loss of power

You can but you should start at module on frame bad years for them a lot of corrosion then we as ring a hole on backside located drivers side by filter its 3X4 inches

What Todd D is trying to say is that you should check your "Fuel Pump Driver Module" first. It is mounted on the frame rail near the spare tire. In the early years of the Gen 11 F-150's the module was mounted directly to the frame, metal to metal. This caused corrosion, especially in areas with road salt. There was a "retro-fit" kit that came with longer screws and standoff spacers that lifted the module off of the frame. Check the video below;
