New engine search
I have a 03 ranger 4.0 4x4 and need a motor for it. My dad had it and shot a rod through the side of the block. I'm hoping that I can get away with a short block and reuse the heads. I want a reman and was wondering where to go for one online. I don't trust junkyard motors and would like something with a warranty. It's a daily driver and my pops uses it almost all the time so a stock block would do good. The shop that he had it towed to quoted him 5200 with install and that's way too much. I can do the work myself I just need a motor to do it with. Any help? Thanks!!!

Try these guys. $2499 plus $450 if you have no core to trade in. It is apparent from a web search that not to many reman places carry 2003 reman engines yet, but this place lists one.
