battery ???

ok guys,, as yall know i have the super chips programer. I know its not great and will be making a change for xmas. The super chips is not about this question. The other day i was installing the "tow perfomance"mode back in the truck and it read that the batteries were too low to do it,, so i started the truck (didn't seem low) and let it idle in the high idle mode for about 13 min. and then all was fine. This has happened to me once before, both times the truck started with no problems. Now,, i do tend to leave my GPS plugged in all the time. I"m wondering if that is enough to trickle the batteries down over two or three days or maybe some other battery drain going on. The batteries are like 1100 CCA ea. and maybe a year old if that. Also how would i check to see if my other guages are pulling some current?? I dont have a volt gauge,, any ideas??? thanks.

What is the make of the batteries? Do you have an IPod plugged in all the time also? Just curious on the make, I had problems after nearly 3 years with Red top Optimas, they developed a resistance to full charging (sulfating) so I had to replace them. The Ipod thing I think was also an issue, not 100% on that. Finally, is it a daily driver, or does it sit?

I find that if I leave my GPS on and don't use the truck after about 3 days I'll get a slow crank. It's a lot more noticeable in the colder weather. I've been meaning to hook it up to a switched circuit. I'm also curious about it's amp draw.
