Fellas,
What do yall think my truck is worth? I am considering selling it .
KBB says $21955. What do yall think, here she is:
2005 F250 FX4 Lariet
-133k miles
-OEM fluids and filters-VERY well maintained per what i have learned here on the FTE! -Shell Rotella T6 (4k OCI's)
-0 dents & scratches, body in excellent condition
-Interior in EXCELLENT shape! (NO trace of cigs)
-White/tan bottom, running boards
-0 cracks in windshield
-roll n lock bed cover
-stock tires (new)
Mods (all installed around 113k miles):
-ARP studs & Black Onyk gaskets
-4" turbo back Silver line exhaust
-Coolant filter
-Isspro Fuel pressure guage
-Edge Insight (pod mount)
-08 Diff Cover
-SCT X3 tuner (DP tuner & Innovative Tunes)
The truck currently has 0 probelms and runs great. I hate to sell, however, we are expecting new BB & my wife needs a new vehicle.
So, do you fellas think i can get more than what KBB is showing? If i could around $25k that would be good. Let me know if you have need any clarification on anything or have any questions.
My dad traded his 06 king ranch on a F150. Dealer gave him $27K. I feel sorry for the poor sucker who got that one....as that truck was VERY POORLY maintained...thats my concern. I am curious if anyone would pay extra given I have the studs and kept up on maintenance? I assume the average Joe looking for a truck could care less about studs, guages, and filters.....we'll see. I may advertise it and see what happens. Regardless, I will not be given it away....i'll drive her till she falls apart before i do that.
KBB always lists a higher than real world price. NADA and Edmunds give more accurate pricing information.
In general, you will never come close to recouping money invested in extras. 20-25% return if you are lucky. People that don't know better, don't care and people that do know, figure they can do it for the price of parts. The rest just want it for a price as low as they can get.
Sell it yourself ask more than the book says. Your looking for the guy who has done his research and knows what he wants and is willing to pay for it. Winters comming, almost here I bet you could get 23-25, on a lot they would start at more.
As long as you can wait for the right buyer you are in the sellers market. you should not only list the mods but the benifits for the less informed . I think the only kbb lists is the bed cover. and adds like $400.00. I think it sounds like a great truck and the right guy would pay around 25k.
I hope your luck is better than mine. I always end up at a dealer getting hosed . If you get a good trade in amount you can bet you pay for it on the new rig.
Thanks fellas for the input. I throw it out there on the market and see what happens. If you have any buddies that would be interested you know where to find me.
