Uses more gas while cold?

Just wondering. Seems my Bronco is eating more gas than normal. Granted I've been using four-wheel drive on and off and on and off locking on the hubs, but it seems like it's using more than it normally does. It has been cold for the past week or so, so thats why I'm wondering if theres a corrolation. I have the 351H.O.

In cold weather the engine is going to take longer to warm up so I would definitely expect more gas consumption.

I don't think there would be. Other thank like you said your using 4wd and running with the hubs locked. That'll definately drop your mileage. That and your probably letting it run more to heat up.

most of that would be from the hubs being locked....that takes lots of power.....also in the winter, there are more addatives in the gas, so you will get slightly worse mileage form that too.......most of yours is from the hubs being locked though
