Tech HELP

Yesterday I was driving home from my one year anniversary and after coming down the grapevine about 20 miles outside of bakersfield while doing 75mph on 99. All of a sudden I heard a klunk sound from underneath the truck and everything shut off gauges etc no gas just coasting. Well I coasted to the nearest off ramp and then I had to step on the brakes hard like it didnt have power brakes anymore. So it stopped and I heard alot of engaging noise underneath like it was engaging the drive line back into gear it felt like it was like a safety mode like going into a nutural thing then when it stopped it engaged back in. The truck would not start no gauages came on when your turned the key on not even the miles on the truck would show up. Then the tow truck came to get it we couldnt even put the truck in nutural so he not by my choice dragged the truck onto the flat bed and towed it to ford in bakersfield. Any ideas what it could be its a 2004 f150 supercrew 4x4 with a 6 inch lift? Thanks

Thats one expensive fuse. Sounds like you paid for 6 hrs of labor and $2 for a fuse.

that sucks, i would ask for a print out of what your paying for and if it is all labor have them show you the fuse location that blew and if its easy to get to ask why your paying for the techs inability to find the issue faster if its only a fuse. (your not paying to train the tech or are you???)

I'd be asking why the fuse blew.
You don't want it to happen again.

Typical. They always blame everything on any installed aftermarket products. Still doesn't explain why it took so long to find a blown fuse...

Exactly and of course my extended warranty doesnt cover fuses but they told me they were gonna recomend removing all the after market items I was like I bought the truck with these items from the dealership that sold me the warranty
