Think about it......a 460 based V-10......575 cubic inches, 8.8 liters, more modern engine and fuel management........It would be a true beast.

Chevy kicked Fords butt in the 2011 diesel match up. They still don't have a good gas option it appears. Crap, I pull 10,000# TT with my 86 F250 4x4 460/C-6 & get 7 MPG & 10 empty. So for $30,000+ what am I gaining.
I'm sorry but I'm really getting disappointed with Fords new trucks & engine options. I hate to say it but if I was to buy a new truck it would be a Chevy. At least GMs get the better gas mileage.

Yea, i,m at a loss!!!!! How is the 6.2 soooo much better than the 3v, v10 that now resides in my F350? Is it because the word v10 scares buyers off ( think gas mileage )? From what I've read so far, the mpg in the 6.2 is'nt much better, It does'nt have as much torque, and the v10 is already proven to be bulletproof, so what gives? I did'nt buy my truck for the mpg, I bought it to pull (almost) like a diesel without the $$$$$ premium! Can the 6.2 really do that without having to mod it?
