have 94 f150 4x4 xl long bed v8 also have 97 f250 diesel that is a parts truck. i use the 150 for plowing and was going to swap out the springs in the frnt, 250 diesel coil springs should give me an extra 1000 lbs. wht. in frnt so im told. also is an axle swap possible? need push in right direction
the f250 4x4's had both setups actually, in 1 style they had the ttb setup with a heavier spindle/hub assembly that used coil springs, and there was the other style with the leafs up front.
axle swap is possible, but the coilspring swap is the easiest option.

.
80-97 4X4 F250's & 350's never used coil springs, after 2004-2005 they use coil springs though. The 2wd's use coil springs though, but I don't know much about 2wd, so I don't know if the 250 springs will work for the OP's 150.
The springs will work. If the donor truck was a 4x4 then it would be leaf... but since ur 250 donor is 2wd then it uses coils. I did this on my truck. I had "severe duty" coils from a 2wd F350 diesel. Held my 8 foot western pretty well. Now i did a SAS and am runnin 8 bolts with leaf springs...
But moral of the story is coils from a 3/4 or 1 ton 2wd F series will fit a 1/2 ton. But be prepared for awful allignment.

actually they did, i am using 4x4 f250 19'' tall COIL springs in my f150 right now. they had a lighter gvw than the leaf style, were also ttb.
the 2wd springs may not be tall enough for what you want to do, check your free height and loaded height.
87-97 f250's with the lighter gvw rating, they are fairly uncommon, i didnt think they existed either until i had a customer come in with one. since then ive seen a couple, but the leaf sprung trucks are way more common.
