hello

• I have a 1989 F250 4x4 with 351w, C6 trans. I am hoping some of you can help me with a problem that has been going on. about 1 year ago the truck would not go into forward gears. it would go in reverse fine but put it in a forward gear and it was just like having it in N. after sitting a few days and getting back to it i was shocked when i revved the motor and with a hard jerk she jumped forward. since then there seams to be no problem i have driven her a few thousand miles with it working normal.

Today i was pulling a neighbor of the ditch, she was pulling very hard when it just stopped trying, there was no noise or jerks just stopped as if put into N. she will go in R and work perfect just nothing forward works. checked linkage seams to be fine, fluid full looks ok. is there something else i can check or any ideas out there. or do you think the trans is dead ?? any help welcome.
