tranny question
I think i fried my trans again. i was driving back from cheyenne tonight had the cruise set at 75 mph and started to pull a hill and about half way up the hill my truck ran up to about 12psi of boost rpms did not raise any and my tranny started jumping in and out of OD. Here lately it has just kinda been falling into OD it shifts fine through the other gears but when it goes to OD it does not shift its like it does through the other gears it just falls into gear is it supposed to do this? I had the trans rebuilt by a local shop i think around February so it does not have that many miles on it. Does a TS chip change shift points or anything to do with the tranny?

i set it back to stock and i cant build any boost to tell weather it shifts the same. i mean it shifts ok but thats only running 20psi of boost at WOT and with my chip on im running around 35psi of boost at WOT.

My tranny-slipping was more evident with the chip in tunes higher than stock for about a day. The next day it was slipping with the chip removed. What I'm saying is the signs of impending failure are more prevalent initially on higher hp tunes, but in my case it was only a matter of hours before complete failure in stock mode.
