Brother in law is looking for a 97 crewcab shortbed, but everyone keeps telling me they never made one. I remember when I bought my first pstroke in 97, I drove a 250 extended cab short bed and I swear a 350 crewcab shortbed. I remember dad moaning about how bad the straight axle was gonna ride. I wanted an automatic back then but the only way you could get that was a long bed supercab or a shortbed crewcab.
Now, that being said...am I off my rocker? Did they not make a 350 CC SB?
Man I swear that truck I test drove had a 60 front in it though....hmmm
Oh well, I guess I will have to make one lol
It is my understanding that a Dana 60 axle will bolt directly to the Dana50 leaf springs once the Dana 50 axle itself is removed - maybe someone upgraded the truck?
Yeah I have done lots of swaps with 60's in 92-97 trucks in the past...but the one I drove was brand new on the lot in 97. I guess my memory has failed me lol

No, I don't think your memory is failing. I am fairly sure the Dana 60 front was available on the heavy duty F250s; at least that's what it says in my 1996 Ford Service Manual.

I'd like to do that, too. My ideal truck would be a 96 F350 CC/SB 4x4 with a 460 5 spd. The CC/LB is just too long for the city traffic I have to deal with.
