Anyone have a manual I can rent/borrow/have for an FE block motor? Looking specifically for a 1965 - 353 truck motor (yep 353) but a 352-390-428 would work. need things like intake tighten pattern and torque specs.
Pretty sure there is one in the garage covering those years. Also have 64 tbird shop manual. I'm guessing the 390 specs there would be close.
If you can't find one closer, you can borrow mine. Can't rent or buy it. That or I could copy the stuff you need and send it to you. I could probably scan the stuff and email it to you this weekend. Let me know.
Hopefully in the next week I will be installing the new oil pump-- Timing chain set--- and intake-- if you could scan and email those particular items I would really appriciate it -- (bet you could finagle a beef dinner out of it! -- Mc'ds is beef right? ha ha)
Hopefully it won't be that many pages---
I owe you one!!!!!
Some of the stuff is scattered around. Do you just need the torque specs? I have two sources. A 66 Tbird shop manual and a Glenn's 1966 auto repair manual. The Glenn's covers cars from 57 to 66. Neither has truck stuff, but is probably close or the same. You are welcome to borrow either if we can figure out how to get them to you.
Most of the torque specs for the 352 and the 390 are the same, Interestingly, the intake and exhaust manifold torques are different between the two. Let me know what you need.
You would enjoy looking at the old Glenn's. If you don't borrow it, I'll try to remember to bring it to a g2g sometime.
FYI, if you guys would like to see them, I have a couple of other old car shop manuals. I'll try to bring them to a g2g. I have one for 1952 Ford car and also a copy of the 8th edition of the Motor manual. It was published in January 1945 and contains stuff on Fords, but also such jewells as Auburns, LaSalles, ******, Hudson, etc.
