Question Need Help with Telescoping Mirrors for 2002 Excursion

I have a 2002 Ford Excursion Limited with standard side mirrors that have heat and the turn signal arrow incorporated into the mirror glass. I want to install telescoping mirrors on my Excursion. My local Ford dealership said they could get me OEM and/or Aftermarket telescoping mirrors with heat but not with the turn signal in the glass. That's fine, since I can live without the turn signal arrow. When the mirrors arrived they had a different connection plug than what my current mirrors use. The dealer says it won't work because Ford doesn't have an adaptor to convert the plugs. The issue is apparently my truck is wired for the incorporated turn signal in the glass and the new mirros don't have the same plug configuration.

I don't want to install the non power, non-heated style mirrors.

Has anybody run into this same problem? If so, how were you able to overcome it? Is there an Aftermarket set of mirrors that has the turn signal included in the glass? Or do you know of an adapter plug that will connect the mirrors to my wiring set up? Shoot me an e-mail at JSWright@comcast.net if you can help.

Many, including myself, had the paddle mirrors with heat and signal on the glass. I swapped to the FACTORY trailer tow (TT) mirrors with the heat, marker light and turn signal. I do know that when I bought mine from the dealer, they came with an adapter from the round style 2 plug to rectangle plug. The only wire I had to run was for the running light, which I tapped into the door panel switch lighting. You have to order the mirrors for a 03 and up. I think thats when the tt mirrors with signals came out. ----------just a reminder-------------- you have to buy the mirror back covers seperately as they dont come with the mirrors. you have your choice of textured black, smooth black--ready to paint, or chrome. The chrome backs are about 120 each. Got mine for about 75each.

I have always wondered why my x has the little heat indicator on my telescoping mirrors. There is no reference to that in my owners manual and nothing in my clymers either. An option my rig doesn't have??
If so, why the indicator on the mirrors?

Look here for the adaptor numbers. Parts guys do not really know.

These might be the adapter part numbers you might need. Knew they were somewhere.

Try this one. It is the original on the mirrors with turn signals. Read the whole thread has a lot of information.

Thanks.
It should have the heat. Unless someone down the line replaced the glass only with a heated one, but I doubt that cuz it would be more. The heated mirror works with the rear window defrost. Both hooked up to the same switch.
