Cargo Lamp

Maybe I'm being stupid or not looking hard enough, but I can't find the button for my cargo lamp! Where is it!? Thanks in advance!

The exterior one, integrated into the third brake light. It comes on when I open the door, so I know it's there.

Turn your dash dimmer **** to "ON" (or open any door).

There is no separate switch for the cargo lamp (i.e., third brake light).

Figured you were going to say that. It should come on when you adjust the instrument panel lights dimmer to the on position. Turn the dimmer til their bright, then keep going. It should click and your interior lamps, and the exterior lamp should come on.

EDIT: Charlie you beat me to it. Should have known that would happen.

strange. I was hoping to run a couple of light bars down my rails underneath the tonneau cover so that I can see even when it's down, and i wanted to splice into that cargo lamp. but i'm not sure the risk of splicing into the entire dimmer/interior light circuit is worth it.

thank you.

Don't those light kits come with their own power source and switch? I think all you need is a 12v lead and the rest is up to you.

I just saw that kit today while I was looking for protectant for my Truxedo.
