ZF5spd from a Gas vs. Deisel Differences?
Im in the planning a 12valve swap into a 2000 F350 that has the 5.4/ zf5spd. I was told that the diesel trucks had different gear ratios in the zf5 spd from a gas engine to a diesel but Im having a hard time finding that info. Also are there other differences in the tranys as far as torque ratings or input shaft/pilot bearing size. Any info. is very much appreciated guys!

It doesn't answer your question but per Transmission gear ratios all the ZF-5 transmissions had the same gear ratios. so your source is incorrect.
