SVT Thunder (Expedition)

I just bought the new Motor Trend to check out the SVT Thunder that was on the cover. It has the same engine as the F-150 Lightning, and also has suspension tweaks, front air dam and performs fairly well for a 5500LB truck.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen or heard about this, and if Ford is indeed going to make one?

SVT Thunder (Expedition)

I really would not get too excited about a concept vehicle becoming a reality. Ford is very slow and careful about producing any hot rods. Car and Driver released the article a year ago about the Focus R. That is Ford's pocket rocket. According to Ford design Engineers, they are not even considering building that car. Now comes word of the Focus SVT, another pipe dream, according to Ford, so I built my own Focus SVT. Not very hard to do. I think that if I were looking forward to a SVT Expedition, I would have to build it myself. May not be as fast as the Lightning engine in an Expy, but, you could make it very close. I managed to take a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder 130hp engine and turn it into a 250hp beast. Very dependable, reliable, and tire-smokingly fast. I have less than $17,000.00 in a 13 second street car.
