Sry I'm on my phone. The screen could be completely covered after taking the filter out some dirt coulda settled

or a bad batch of fuel. did you check the oil?

the oil? the fuel i put in was rightoutof the farm tank

i am getting stumped. white smoke means it is getting fuel, tach moving says the cps is probaly still good. whatever was makeing it run like s... before wont let it start. drain the bowl and fill it with known good diesel

the injectors fire off oil pressure, i know from personal experience... that if you are low on oil, it will run crappy

i cant stress how important it is to have fully charged batteries when trying to start these things, but that would not have caused it to run crappy for 60mi

The tach can still move sometimes with a bad CPS but the computer won't be picking up RPMs. May just wanna swap it and try and if not then you'll have an extra. Pull the fuel filter and look at the top driver's side of the bowl. Theres a hole. Take the cotton off one end of a q-tip and gently clean it out. You should see a screen. Top off the oil. Charge batteries. Fill bowl with good fuel. Kind of measures up to a next attempt=best attempt.
