shock absorbers?
any recomendations on shocks for my truck? 99F250 surercab diesel, 4x4, 8' box. time to replace at 110,00. i'm looking for some sugestions for a decent shock. thanks. -2 here last night. cant wait till spring

I have always been a rancho fan. I have yet to replace my shocks on the SD- but have talked to several stores on what they think. Whatever you do don't go with a cheap shock.. get a good rancho or the new pro-comp because they make these for the vehicles weight.. not one size fits all. The rancho rs9000's seem to be a winner, and i have only heard good things about the new pro-comp monotubes- they'll run 350$ for 4

The Rancho 9000X's are adjustable from inside the cab (front and rear independant).
I have put on the Edlebrock IAS shocks, they work pretty well.
The other favorite is the Bilstiens.

I've heard that the Rancho 9000's are the best. Because of the $ I went with Bilsteins, but have not been dissapointed. I finally figured that 130,000 miles was enough for the factory shocks.
