parking aid

Ihave an 03 f250 . As soon as I put my truck in reverse the parking aid turns itself off. Could any one help ?

He's talking about the sensors on the rear bumper that tell you how close to an object you are while backing up.

Well the sensors and the button are obviously wired into the same circuit as something that is triggered when yo put it in reverse (assume the back up lights) so you probably have a short somewhere in that system but that's the best I can offer.

Could be one bad sensor, a friend had the same symtoms and changed one sensor and all is good now.
