Headlight bulbs?

What's going on gentlemen?

I'm looking for a new set of bulbs for the headlights. I would prefer a nice, bright OE replacement bulb that doesn't look blue.

Your suggestions/experiences? Thanks.

Stay away from Silverstar. They are tinted bulbs. They are not any brighter than Xtravision, just whiter and actually a bit less bright. They also do not last very long at all.

I like GE Nighthawk and Silvania Xtravision. Don't get Nighthawk sport series though. They are tinted as well.

The Xtravision is available at most stores. The Nighthawk is harder to find, but Amazon has them.

Add a headlight relay setup from LMC or Ebay too.

Don't touch the bulbs when installing them.

Thanks guys. I'll check them out.

Will the tinted bulbs give off the blue appearance?

Any advantage to the pure white? As in, can you see any better without blinding the oncoming driver?

I also looking at putting in some brighter bulbs in my car along with a matching set of fog lamp bulbs that will actually throw off some usable light.

There is no advantage to it. Its just trendy crap to simulate HID. There is nothing good about it. A true clear glass bulb is the only way to go. Any of the +30 or so bulbs that are clear would be what I would go with.

Your welcome.

Here is a list of bulbs that I know of that should do the trick without being over wattage bulbs.

GE Nighthawk (not sport) available on Amazon
Sylvania Xtravison
Wagner Brite Lite
Phillips Vison Plus or Extreme Power
Osram Silverstar (UK)

The headlight relays will supply more power to the bulbs as well. Also if you lenses are yellow or foggy get some Crystal View headlight restorer.
