Yea after looking at so many mufflers I think the magnaflow has the best value to it with the lifetime warranty and SS construction. But do you guys think I would Benefit from some back pressure caused by a single or double chambered muffler?
^ Are you running a true dual set up? Sorry if you already stated.
If so, I think you're right in that some 2 chambered mufflers may help you grunt around town. I would go with some FM Super 44's in that case. Mount them as far back as you can to help the keep the drone down.
Yea I am running true duels, I was going to try to put these mufflers all the way back by the spare tire. Do you think that there is a big difference in sound or quality between the Cherry Bomb Pro 7402 and the Flowmaster Super 44 942545? Because the Cherry Bomb is almost half the price and I need to buy two of them.
So I was comparing the Flowmaster Super 44 to the Cherry Bomb Pro on Summit to see what the difference is besides price and I see that the Cherry Bomb has a "wing plate" internal construction and the Flowmaster has "chambered" internal construction. What does that mean? The casings look and measure the same but the Cherry Bomb is half the price, is that because of this "wing plate" or am I just paying more for the Flowmaster name?
^ From what I have seen, the two internal instructions are similar. They should sound the same. They are both made in the America, and I don't think you could go wrong either way.
What do you think about the Cherry Bomb Vortex? They should generate a little more back pressure than a straight through muffler, and they sound great if you like the more "old school" packed muffler sound. Chamberd mufflers can sound "hollow" and "empty" at times. I digress. haha
I would go with Magnaflow, or Dynomax Ultraflo, or maybe Dynomax Bullet mufflers depending on how loud you want.
I have Magnaflow on my F150 and think it sounds fantastic. Its nice and mellow.
I have Dynomax Ultraflo on my 65 Mustang and absolutely love how it sounds.
I have had Blowmaster before on both vehicles and can't stand it. It sounds hollow. The idle sounds ok but as the engine revs up it the sound washers out so to speak and they are not referred to as dronemaster for no reason.
I can't stand chambered mufflers. If you have cats they sound pretty good. I like how Jason's truck sounds with the Cherry Bomb extreme, but he has Magnaflow cats.
If your set on Flowmaster or Cherry Bomb Pro, get the Cherry Bomb. It sounds much better.
I put the cherry bomb pros on, they sound real good. They are a little quieter than I thought they would be but I can still hear them in the cab a bit. Not really any drown while driving either. The truck sounds more like a mean mustang, which was exactly what I was going for.
Flowmaster sold there design to thrush because there patent contract ran out. You can go out and buy a "Thrush Welded" muffler for around $25 bucks, which is a flowmaster with thrush name on it.I have one on my truck and it gives it a deep throty sound and its real nice when u get on it

Any chance of a video clip? I am using the CBE, was thinking of switching to the pro, but with 2 cats and the Gen 2 Exit i cant fit it under there.
I've got a Magnaflow on my truck & HATE IT!soundsis good during normal driving, but under load the drone is TERRIBLE-you can't talk to another person in the cab of the truck. Mine's a single 3" though, yours might not be as bad with duals.
