I have never noticed any sort of hop like you describe, in my truck. That tells me that unless you're just way more sensitive to it, there's something different about your truck.
The torque converter theory makes some sense. I'd find another dealer and let them look into it.
In my 05 i get vibration when taking from a dead stop, thats due to my m/t tires, when i had all terains i didnt get a vibration.
At highspeeds, especially on roads that look like concrete sections almost like a sidewalk, i got some hop, when going over the Skyway bridge, when i hit the top it's really uneven and i get tons of hop, sometimes have to slow down. My f-350 also does this.
But if your getting hoping through all speeds and the road is level, you have some sort of underlying cause, sorry dont what it would be
