~30 years now I've been driving, and in all that time, I've performed underhood and walk-around checks of any vehicle I drive, at least once a week.
Washer fluid, I'll let go. Everything else gets immediate attention.
My wife gets so annoyed with me. At work we do pre-trip reports and inspections before pulling out. If we stop anywhere for more than an hour we do a quick sweep as we call it. Then do a post trip when we come back home. DOT loves orange placards I started doing it at home....wife goes nuts.

Nice truck Kirby. I love that instrument cluster, that really looks cool with the colors you've selected. Keep us updated on how it goes.

Thanks again.

I just repped you for doing so much on your truck, for the people here you help, and what you do for your family. You are a very bright kid. Keep up the good fight. The truck sounds great.

Thanks! I appreciate that! It was supposed to be painted to look like red anodized aluminum, but since I thought I knew more than the spray can did (it said you need an activator of sorts to make it shiny), I ended up with a flat red finish. Oh well. lol. And I sure will!

well anodized aluminum isn't very shiny anyway, you could always clear coat it though.

The top of the can was....lol

Yea I could. One thing about it being flat red though is that it really catches the red light from the gauges at night. It makes it seem a little brighter I think. So my error paid off I guess...lol

It's nice to see young guys getting their hands dirty working on their trucks. It's an education that will last a lifetime. Even though the new cars and trucks are somewhat different than the older ones, they all have pistons and valves! Great write up Kirbyman!

Another driving video. This one's alot longer lol. Excuse my haphazard lane changes, it's a little distracting having to keep the camera from shaking too much lol

Adjusted the timing and carb a little (well, my uncle did it for me lol), and it runs MUCH better.

Short drive. Sounds a little different since I played with the exhaust a little. The part after I stop at the light makes me grin every time. Didn't realize how good it sounds. lol.

You're doing an awesome job Kirby. Your dad would be proud I'm sure. That camera looks just like our old Kodak Z730 (which we still have and use).

Thanks guys. I think my dad would want his truck back if he were to get a look at it. lol

And mine is a Kodak Z760. Needs a new battery quite badly, but it gets the job done.

Oh and FYI I didn't run the red light at the intersection, it turned green right as the light went out of the camera frame. lol
