Some more progress.

Tore off the inner fenders and outer fenders. Keeping the truck running as I'd like to be able to run it in and out in order to work on other cars.

Radiator support getting ready for some POR15 and paint.

Had to sand down and paint my oil pan, it was really rusty. Luckily no holes, filled some of the rust pits and urethaned it.

One of the inner fenders painted up. Going to bedliner/undercoat the undersides of them.

The other fender.

I mudded up the grille in a bunch of spots and sealed and primed it. Should be getting paint next week sometime along with the battery tray, grille inserts and some other misc. parts.

Painted the grille. My camera really does not do the color justice at all. It looks sooo different when a light is put on it.

So I brought the grille home and was deciding where to put it. I figured Id put it in the basement in my "office." Hopeing it gives me some motivation to get out and work on it some more, and its a safe place to put it so it doesnt get scratched. Heres a pic of it hanging in my room.

Cleaned up the frame and cross member got it ready for the motor.

Set the motor in the truck this weekend.

The put some parts on it to see what it would look like.

Looking at the wiring now. Most of it looks pretty straight forward. I have one obstacle to come over. I don't really want to put the ECU in the glove box. I dont want to cut a hole in the firewall and I like having a glove box. I want to build or buy a box for the ECU to mount in the engine bay the only place to mount it is on the inner fender behind the battery. Has anyone seen someone else mount the ECU in the engine bay? I know I need extra protection for it but what exactly. I was thinking about building a sheet metal box for it and lining it with foam, then sealing it up so no water gets in it. Any suggestions?

Figured out my ECU issues. Going to run some computer case fans to help cool, I think that should be enough.

.50 cal ammo boxes come in handy for many reasons!

Going to have to paint the ECU box, it doesn't look the greatest. But the tool box I'm going to keep looking like that.
