Hood Hardware missing

The PO took the hood's "heat shield" off and I'd like to put it back on. I don't have the original hardware and visits to Napa and AutoZone didn't help.

does anyone know what size/part number/name or anything to fasten the thing back on? Thanks!

Check with partsguyed, a supporter up above. OEM at great discounts, with great service, too!

I think you're looking for those black nylon push pins. They look like giant thumb tacks.

You can try auto parts stores where they have those Help! parts. Or, you can go to Lowes in the hardware section where they keep the nuts and bolts in the drawers. One of the drawers contains auto parts.

I saw the ones in AutoZone but they didn't look big enough. They were labeled for trim panels, do you think they're the same size all around? Guess I'll check partsguyed to see if there is a difference.

Good to know, wish I had at least one to compare them. Well, at least he still had the insulation- $120 new. Man, pricey.

Visit a local body shop and ask to buy the pins you need.
