When I am towing my new 5er and the plug in plugged into the bed or the bumper plug I intermittently get a wiring fault on trailer or trailer disconnected? Everything seems to be working fine when this happens???
here is the text from the manual, I had some wires loose in the connector at the trailer which caused me intermittent trailer disconnected messages, this never caused a problem when towing with my suburban or F150. I opened the connector and reseated the wires and tightened the lock screws..
sounds like there is a problem with the in bed wiring cable into the standard harness.
