Do you have 4 wheel ABS or just rear ABS?
Either way one of the first things i would check is the wires going to the rear axle for the speed sensors at the rear wheels. If this wire is broken it will cause the ABS light to come on.

These guys have it pretty well covered, however if you wanted to narrow it down you could check for trouble codes.
A lot of guys just put a piece of tape over the light and forget about it, probably one of the better options.
