Tail lights?
Hello again from Akron, I just received a pair of 57-63 ford tail lights I bought from a guy on ebay. They came and looked to be the right size for a styleside except theres only 2 screw holes in the lenses and the one's on my 60' have 3. They were advertised as 57-63 I wondering if anybody knows if there was a different screw pattern through the years or is it for an earlier model year with a stepside bed. The lenses are about 5-6 inches tall maybe 7 and would like to know who screwed up. Any help would be great sorry for the lack of a photo as for no digital camera at the moment.

Hello John, I looked through one of my catalogs and found the styleside taillight is shown to be be round for 57-63. It does have 3 screws in the lens.
The 61-63 unibody is a tall slim lens w/2 screws as is the 64-66 and 67-72 styleside lens.
There may have been other lenses, just not shown in this particular catalog.

Sounds like they made a mistake. The tail light lenses I have seen should have three holes with a 1" round reflector made into the center of it. You can buy them new. The lenses you got maybe for a panel truck?

Hey thanks for the replys I think I saw somewhere that a 53-54 truck had an option with the round taillight. Anybody here have a 1950's ford truck with round taillights?
