Ryan was on his pull and at 160+ft the motor shut down and because the track was soft the truck stopped instantly. When the truck stopped the sled rammed him and recoiled jurking him back then hitting a second time breaking the bumper bars on the truck. Also the chains came off. We had a moment of silence as everyone was trying to figure out what had just happened. This is the way I saw it, someone else may have better details.
This pic shows the distance that the sled and truck bounced apart

Ryan smoked his motor. Didn't know how bad yet when I talked to him (obviously) but I guess it's locked up tight.
The RPM's he's turning are pretty much uncharted territory for a CR so...
And this is the second year in a row I missed meeting you.

Even though it was smaller this year, it was still big enough to miss people. There were two other people I was going to meet up at that even, but I never was able to find them. One was a fellow FTEer from KY, but the other was someone I knew from college. Either I missed them in the crowd or they didn't come.
I was to busy blowing boots off and tryin to get my truck to hold a charge, had a nightmare of a morning gettin down there, then when I tried to get my truck on the track things just weren't working out. Think I made 120' or so out of both pull attempts lol.
It is a beast, he just busted the rear end the other day and replaced it with the dually rear he had in Saturday. It'll pull better than most people think it will, and he drives it on a regular basis too. Gotta love the multi-use trucks. I wish I would've brought my camera but I left it at the house , glad someone got some shots though. Too bad you didn't take any pics of a blue Dodge crew cab on the dyno, would've liked to had some.
