I have a early 99 PSD. I recently changed the glow plugs due to hard starting bc of the cold weather coming in after they were changed the truck ran fine drove fine no problems. parked it for the night come out the next morning and truck would not start! it acted like it wasnt getting any fuel so i removed the fuel bowl noticing a little bit of trash in the but it didnt look like any made it past the filter into the injectors, cleaned the bowl put it all back together and finally got the truck to start but it was having a hard time idling then died after about a minute of running and havnt got it to start back up! I switched the IPR out of a good psd and still samething, i unpluggrd the ICP and tried switching in a good ICP and still no start, the truck has a brand new starter and two new batteries and the oil level is good!
In the cold on start up the truck would lope at idle for about a minute then clear out! if you bumped it up to high idle for a few seconds then back the stock it would then idle fine! thought maybe the IPR could be the problem but also think the HPOP could have took a crap! would appreciate any input im out of ideas. thanks
could it be when you changed the glow pugs is was in the daytime, and warmer? naturally, it would seem fine. is it possible you have a connection or two misaligned just enough on your glow plugs to cause this issue?
