Steering Problems
I have a 93 F 150 4X4 with the inline 6 cyl. When I first start off for the day it steers fine but if i drive it over 2-3 miles the steering tightens up and becomes hard to turn. When you do turn it it feels like a bearing is messed up some where on the colum. It is real hard to turn in both directions but once you turn it past a point it breaks free and turns easily but it has hard places in the turning range. I have replaced the power steering pump with no changes. I was told it was ball joints but I jacked the front end up and everything feels solid..... Any ideas?

That wasn't te problem i took it to a shop and they told me it is in the power steering pressure hose so i replaced it.... Didnt work..... is it the gear box and if it is how hard will it be to change that? I'm guessing it will be a pain in the tail!....
