Even if I drove the truck to work every day (which I don't) it would still only add up to 25 miles a week plus misc other driving so maybe 50 miles a week tops.
Well PMS has helped me lower the miles. I did not drive it for 5 weeks. Had to replace a fuel line. While in there I decided on oil crossover, which led to plenium inserts, which led to CCV mod, well, you get the picture. lol maybe 50 miles a month
Our excursion is our family vehicle and my wife is stay at home mom so we put maybe 100-150 miles per week on her.
My work is 10 miles away but I only come into work 2 times and week and work from home the rest so my new to me F250 is only getting about 40 miles per week for work and a misc 20-50 miles on the weekend.
I do about a thousand mile a week. I'm a field service guy and drive my own vehicle because I don't want to be in a Flex or a Windstar(the Edge is tempting though).I also carry about 1200lbs of spare parts and tools, I don't like to make 800 mile round trips because I didn't have all my tools and test equipment with me. My employer doesn't offer a pickup or 1/2 ton van so the only available option is to drive my own.
I have a company fuel card and get reimbursed $.36 a mile per current IRS guidelines so this cream puff has already paid for itself and all maintenance and repair several times over. I average ~18, 19 MPG so I don't feel like I am sticking it to them in any way.
Well, just this week, Monday to Friday, 3800 miles. Those numbers are correct.
you win. I haven't had a week like that in a long time.
My territory used to cover all of Oregon, Washington, Montana, Alaska and Sacramento north. I only flew to Alaska and Mt. It never failed, If I was in Eureka CA I would get a call for Spokane WA....that makes for a long 2 days.
50 miles to work one way, 100+ miles a day. 50-100 miles on weekends depending on whats going on. Approx 550 miles a week. Consistant 17.5-18 MPG, approx $380 a month fuel bill. Anyone got a diesel jetta for sale? Im a big boy, not sure I could be comfortable in a jetta, but for 40+mpg i can get real comfortable. lol
I have a 96 Passat TDI and get 42mpg+ commuting but still prefer driving Nyx. 25 miles one-way to work, so 200+ work driving weekly, plus the errands on the weekend can be 100+. I put 72,000 on her in the first 2.5 years I owned her.

Not a winner this trip. Was through WA, OR, ID, UT, and CO. It was a long trip, too long.
I work 12 hour days.. so I only work 2 days one week & 5 the next... Thats about 165 miles to work every 2 weeks. That doesn't equal out to the 35,000 miles I put on in the 2 1/2 years I have owned her...
