adjustable ball for hitch

Did not know if this has been discussed but what is everyone using on our 2.5" recievers looking for an adjustable 2 and 2/5/16 diversitech, andersen rapid hitch with a sleeve for the two inch. Any help would be appreciated

Most are just using the sleeve/reducer to drop back to a 2" reciever.
Since most the adjust-a-hitch type of ***** are only rated at 8000lbs the 2" should be fine.

If you need the rating that the 2.5" offers. The current crop of adjustable just don't rate that high. Maybe in time the mfg will build a beefer towbar/ball that will meet the ratings offered by the 2.5" reciever.

Here is the answer I received from Anderson.

We have plans for but no announcement date of when we will release a 2.5” shank on rapid hitch. In the mean time we offer a lock set with a longer receiver pin to use rapid hitch with a sleeve. #3492

I picked up a sleeve for $15 and have been using a 2". No problems.
