Here is a link to my recent oil analysis below. Number of miles is close to yours on DELO 15w-40 at 5,047 miles on sample. Of this mileage, approx 2,000 miles included towing a 5,000 pound travel trailer. It is interesting to note some of the differences attributed to the oil type's additive package. Notice on my report the levels of Boron, Magnesium and Moly. I was told those significantly higher levels in the DELO oil are due to the additive load. Also interesting to note that your iron wear is much higher than mine while my aluminum wear metal is higher than yours (no red flags though unless future analysis show progressively higher wear pattern with similar mileage on sample). Looks like a great report
I just went 10k on Shell Rotella 5w40 synthetic with a Purolator PURE ONE oil filter and execpt for a bit high on silicon (they think from a bad air filter) they said I could have gone more-may be 12k....
In previous samples I was running a Purolator PURE ONE AIR FILTER in my LATE '99s stock air box, but bought a standard paper Purolator air filter last time by mistake-I also, during the sample period had my RH UVCH replaced by my very reputable mechanic and I have to wonder if there was some silicon (dust/dirt) that accidentally was let to get into my engine at that time when the vc was off......
Here is the last two I have had done. These were both done at around 3K. As Cavitation mentions, the oil you use will have different results based on their chemical make-up. I have used the Delo 15W40 and the Motorcraft 15W40 in these samples.
Here is a snap shot from my reports
How do you go about getting these tests done?
Just go to BlackStone-Labs.com they will send you test kits for your samples, then when you send it it they will e-mail you a report. Cost is $25 now.
I'm curious as to exactly what silicon is? most feel that it is "dirt" of some kind, and what is the highest level of it that is considered acceptable?
I'd like to hear from you 6637 users as to what level of silicon you had and how many miles your o/c interval was......
After reading your question I googled it. Found a pretty interesting website covering oil analysis and the different levels. They had a chart that shows a Silicon rating of 15 being normal. The Blackstone universal average is 9 per their report.
Blackstone Labs also has a information page about what each thing means. Open this LINK and mouse over any of the purple areas for explanations.
I didn't realize the differences between MC 15w40 and Delo 15w40. I've used the MC 15w40 in the past as well as Rotella 15w40. For the last few years I've used only Delo 15w40 with good results. This may sound weird but my 2002 F350 7.3 seems to run better on the Delo?

I have heard that some think the truck runs better on Delo before. Doesn't surprise me, especially since the injectors are so reliant on oil to operate correctly. I am running Delo again this change so I will have to see if the report next time is similar to the first one. I'm pretty sure it will be since the chemical make-up is the same.
I know a guy who only uses the Cat oil. He swears it is better than anything else. I usually pick up mine when I see it on sale or when Walmart has it for $8.50 a jug.
