Rebuilding A 351w

I am finally getting my 351w rebuilt ('86 F250 4x4).
I am confident that my mechanic will do a good job. He is guaranteeing it for 24months.
Is there anything that I should request installed to get a good future out of the motor. The body is solid as a rock and I want to keep this truck for a long time.
Any suggestions for heads, intakes, headers, echaust, add ons...OR just go with the basics?
I don't want to go crazy with $$ but I do want an extremely reliable truck when I'm done.

Thanks,
ScottyB.

Felpro gaskets
Clevite main and rod bearings
Cloyes double roller timing set
Hastings piston rings
Brand Name cam..... probably 280/290 range, Crane,Comp,Sealed Power, etc

If I am correct, this a non computer engine. If so, Edelbrock intake, probably a Performer, a good carb, Carter AFB or
Edelbrock. I know there's a war brewing here but I prefer them over a Holley for street use. Holley makes a fine high performance carb, no doubt, but my luck hasnt been good for street use. Also take the time to port and polish the heads. There are several sites out there that are a good source of info on this. Stock Ford are not the best. Someone correct me if I wrong , but I thing the Explorers had GT40 heads, and later ones had the GT40P's.

hope this helps
