I have an issue with my old truck. Ok, a lot of issues but one of them is it won't start by turning the key. I am suspecting the switch on the inner passenger's fender-well or the clutch switch (what ever it is called).
I can start the truck with a manual screwdriver jump, and it runs just fine. If you turn the ignition on, and "jump" the negative lead, and small terminal on the switch everything fires right up. Kind of sucks to do it but it works.
I had a spare multifunction switch lying around and it didn't help the issue. I will try another new one to verify, but if it isn't that, then what is left? The clutch switch?
hook test light to the smaller terminal of solinoid ground on battery have someone turn key to start position if it lights up then its the solinoid if not you have wireing trouble
