Need parts sugestions and some advice
Ok so I am finally getting ready to fix the truck and ordering parts but would like some sugestions before I order everything!!!
Head gaskests, what should I be looking for? anything in paticular??? What should I stay away from???
Would like a fan clutch, but cant really seem to find anything for my application.
Will I need a new fan too?
need sugestions on a fanclutch...
How long can a FE sit before I have to prime the oil pump???
I am buying a new timing chain too just incase that is part of my problem, I doubt it but better to have it and not need it than need it and have to wait another week on shipping ya know!!!
Well I think thats about it, I allredy have everything else or know what I need, or think I need to fix it...

I'm pretty close to putting my 410 back together for my F100. I purchased the FelPro permatorque gasket set, also looked at victor reinz, I think either is a good set. I'm using the clutch fan off my 360, might check a boneyard for one. Bought a comp double roller timing set, need to use the 1 piece eccentric. I've read when priming the motor best to turn it over by hand when priming, maybe 2-3 revolutions, to ensure complete engine prime. Good Luck

Choices
410F-100,I use Felpro Blue Single torques on the heads,A quality double roller timing set,I like a straight fan(no clutch)and yes-always prime a new engine before starting up for a run in,make sure you check the oil pressure while you prime.Would be bad to run in the engine without oil pressure.

If you chose not to re-prime the system, at least, pull the coil wire to the cap and crank the motor till you are comfortable with the system pressure. By the time that happens, your fuel bowls will full again as well and it should fire once you reconnect the coil. I do this my Cougar after winter but I keep waiting for the motor to go so I can build it up...
