Does anyone our there happen to know the torgue specs for the front axle U-bolts and the track bar bolts. I'm in the middle of a lift here at work and I left my manual at home. Any help would be appreciated, I'm pushing to get it done today.
Forty - 369 ft. lbs. sounds pretty extreme for any light duty automotive application. I haven't found a Haynes anywhere yet, but the lift/level kit instructions for my truck indicate a torque of 110 ft. lbs for the track bar where it attaches to the track bar bracket on the frame. Specs for the front u-bolt from the lift were 120 ft. lbs.
My track bar is torqued to 110 and I used lock tight. I do 120 on the front u-bolts and 140 on the rears. Since I lifted the truck myself I have been checking the torque a few times here and there. The track bar stays tight with the lock tight, the fronts took about 2 sessions to get them to stay, and the rears took about 3 sessions to get them to settle in finally.
