just curious, does anyone know if the 4.6 thats in my 98 f150 about the same motor as a 95 lincoln continetal motor? the lincoln has dual overhead cams? just wondering? ps if anyone has ever worked on a 95 4.6 lincoln heads please email me!! thanks kevin
Yes, that's the same motor. I just signed on tot his forum to see I could find recall info on that motor that's in my F-150. I have a list of where that 4.6 was used; besides the Ford Trucks and Crown Vic, Mustangs, Taurus, they also show 92-2002 Lincoln Cont, Towncar. Be careful, there is a std 4.6 and one with overhead cams, that's what I have.
My head gasket is leaking, thru AllData, I found all safety recalls, emission recalls, general recalls and service bulletins for this motor. They list "recall Campaign" for coolant/cylinder head replacement. Any idea what a "recall campaign" is? ANy idea of where to go find other info?
No, its not the same engine. Your truck has a Single overhead cam 4.6, the lincoln has a dual overhead cam 4.6. It's the difference between the new mustang GT's and Cobra's.
And there is no pushrod version of the 4.6, they all have cams in the heads.
