My New Ride (63 F250 4x4)
It's beat and rusty, but I love it!! A guy my grandpa used to go to auctions with owned it. He passed away 10 years ago so I've had my eye on it since then. I was told that his boys would never sell it, but they finally decided it was time for it to go so my way it came!! Ironically, a guy 10 miles from me bought it brand new and still has the original 292 at his place so I'll probably get that engine from him just to have it around (truck has a 302 now). Was meaning to get the VIN so you guys could tell me a little more about it.
When I unloaded him:

The plan as is:
Cab and motor are coming with me to Idaho. Cab will be a good project to weld up, paint, and put on my 86 F350 Diesel (it'll be a lot of work, but I'm looking forward to it). Motor is being saved for a ratrod project I've been collecting parts for.
The full roller frame is getting my good friend's 60 F100 body and motor. It's a family truck he loves, and wants to make a 4x4.
Already has a new hood, but not much else. I got the truck for a 12 pack of beer ($13 Red Tail Ale) and drove it home, already registered. Was going to sell it before the move, but everyone interested either wanted just parts, or would've neglected the ol' girl. Can't let old iron like that get parted and scrapped, so going through with my original (although expensive) plan. Still been a registered DD since I've owned her.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the compliments!! Buzz, I think your truck is damn nice!! The inside of my box looks like a rollercoaster as well, and I have the same rust in the back corners as you. These trucks were worked hard, but they are still out on the road which proves they were built well!!
When heading out to work this morning, I got some numbers off the truck so you guys could tell me a little more about it!!

Yeah I hear ya on the 60 F100 body on the rolling frame. I did the same thing rounded up a 63 F100 body and put it on my rolling frame. The only diffence that I can see is that the battery is up front under the hood rather than under the passanger side floor board. The stearing wheel is different too.

With those 4.56s and the granny box that motor must be screaming if you take in on the highway... Mine has 70s axles under it with 4.10s, and finally drives normally with the 35s on it (the tiny tires it came with made it a nightmare on the highway).
Caribbean Turquoise - I never knew that's what that color was called.
