is there any special procedure to putting in manual hubs? when i bought my truck (96 f250hd) it had two different hubs in it. im not totally sure what should be in it so i plan to put in some warn manual locking hubs. ive read in some places that there is a kit needed to swap from automatic to manual hubs. is this a necessity for what i want to do?
Check that out and see if it helps you. Read down a little bit. Says if you have 3 bolts in your auto hubs you need the conversion kit. If you have 5 bolts you don't. I put a set of Mile Marker manual hubs on my truck a couple years ago with no conversion kit. I had the 5 bolt auto hubs.
