Self introduction

Well folks, I just started using this site a few weeks ago. I have already made some comments. However I have not made the seemingly obligatory self introduction.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
My name is Jason, and I bought a 1979 F100 about a month ago. It has a 300 six, a three speed manual, and less than 100K. I can’t complain about that. The body is dented, but the only rust trouble is over the rear wheels, and that is not as bad as several I have seen. Gotta love Ford.

I named my truck after General Jackson. The three hour drive home took six hours, but the general did make it on his own steam. When I say steam, I do mean steam. He was overheating so bad we had to stop every ten minutes or so to let him cool down. I replaced the radiator and he was on the road. On last Monday he lost a wheel cylinder that cost me my brakes in city traffic. Thankfully I could down shift and did not have any incidents. I fixed the brakes today, and will be driving him tomorrow.

Being new I can’t help but wonder if y’all can tell me where to look for the best deals on parts. I will be looking for some body panels some time soon. Other than that he seems rather solid.

I know this is a truck site, but I also have a 1962 Fairlane 500 (289, c4) that will need some work. Do y’all know of a similar site for Ford cars?

Y’all keep a great site. Even before I bought the General your site was helping guide my choices. Thanks for the help you give. Keep up the good work.
