I know there's an extensive post on here about this but want to know if module with the numbers on it on a f350 superduty dually is under the dash or behind the back seat somewhere?

Pull the panel under the steering wheel - Get a good BRIGHT flashlight and look up behind the radio - there MAY be a piece of insulation in the way, if so, you'll need to pull the radio. Anyway, if is isn't in the way (50/50 chance), you'll be able to see the box and get the 5 digits off it.

On a 2004, it is under the dash. On some earlier and later years, it wasn't there at all. On some earlier years with the GEM instead of the VSM, I think it was behind the drivers kick panel or somewhere around behind the fuse panel, not sure on that.
But on a 2004 it is under the dash, on the forward firewall up behind the radio underneath some insulation. It was never, to my knowledge, under a seat.
